Biblical Counseling

The Dwelling Co desires to cultivate heart-level transformation in each counselee as we behold the heart of Christ through Biblical Counseling. Biblical Counseling is a focused, personal, and faithful ministry of the Word through the Holy Spirit in response to both the general matters of life and the specific needs and sufferings of the counselee. Its primary aim is to shape the heart of the counselee into the image of Christ—so that, through the divine enablement of the Holy Spirit, each person would grow to think, feel, and act as He does.

At The Dwelling Co, we are honored to partner with both Christ and the counselee to address the root of each struggle. Together, we seek to uncover and replace faulty belief systems with the truth of Scripture, while offering practical tools tailored to the individual’s experiences and circumstances. It is our hope that through this process, counselees would grow in both holiness and in their overall health and well-being.

Training

At The Dwelling Co, we recognize the challenging and demanding nature of ministry. It is our heart to come alongside believers, churches, and Christian organizations—equipping and restoring both believers and ministry workers through the hope of the Gospel, so they can continue ministering that same hope to the hurting.

Our trainings are thoughtfully designed to equip your congregation or ministry on essential topics from a strong biblical foundation. We focus on ministering to the individuals in attendance, knowing they cannot impart what they have not first received and practiced.

As each believer or ministry worker beholds the image of Christ and is conformed to His likeness, genuine heart transformation occurs—fueling the work your church and ministry seek to accomplish. This work can only be sustained as we faithfully abide in the One who produces this radical growth and change.

The Dwelling Co has provided training on the following topics: understanding trauma; sexual abuse and exploitation; gospel centrality in ministry; overcoming burnout and establishing healthy boundaries; identifying and responding to abuse; restoring survivors of abuse; and more.

Pricing varies depending on length, prep time, location, and more.

Consulting

The Dwelling Co offers consulting to come alongside churches and Christian organizations in the trenches of ministry, providing support tailored to their unique needs. Through consulting, we partner with your organization to identify specific challenges and goals, and then design customized education and training to support your mission and ministry context.

As churches and Christian organizations, the way we serve and engage the hurting reflects Christ, and that reflection must not be taken lightly. At The Dwelling Co, it is our desire to support the development of healthy ministries that represent Christ with integrity, especially in the often unseen areas of ministry (such as finances, staff care, and participant treatment). These areas should be approached with equal, if not greater, intentionality than the visible aspects of ministry (like social media presence or fundraising efforts).

Our aim is to help ministries serve from the overflow of a genuine relationship with the Lord—motivated by worship of Him, rather than worship of the ministry or role itself.

As Diane Langberg wisely states: “All other visions are to be subservient to the vision of Christ. The vision must look like Him, the process must look like Him, and the goal must look like Him. That means anytime my vision or my process or my goal, no matter how good, leads me to do something that is not Christ-like, it is wrong… May our visions, our ways, and our goals be His so that He might be glorified in all things.” — Diane Langberg

Counselor Encouragement

The Dwelling Co works in collaboration with Grace Upon Grace Biblical Counseling to offer Deeply Rooted, a virtual encouragement group dedicated to strengthening and edifying female Biblical Counselors running independent counseling ministries or businesses. We are committed to supporting female business and ministry owners who are also counselors by helping them navigate the unique challenges they face, enabling them to operate effectively and faithfully in conjunction with the Body of Christ and for the glory of God. It is our prayer that the Lord would utilize this group to raise up and sustain laborers that would be sent out into the Lord’s plentiful harvest. To join this growing community of gifted women, please apply here at the Group’s Private Facebook Page, “Deeply Rooted: Virtual Encouragement for Female Biblical Counselors”.

While The Dwelling Co is here to walk alongside you in your journey, we are not equipped to provide emergency or crisis services. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger or facing a crisis, please call 911 or go to the nearest hospital. For additional resources that may offer support, please click below.

“Working alongside Brooke was a blessing both professionally and personally. I keep lessons learned from her with me every day. The work we did was extremely challenging to one’s heart, mind and spirit. Consistently, she showed up with compassion, grace, incredible strength and a faith that couldn’t be shook. Brooke is someone who takes the time to truly listen and understand every person she encounters. While she is ever strong in her convictions, she never judges and takes great care and consideration in how she speaks to people. Even the most difficult situations and challenging conversations were always met with truth out of love. Brooke is a blessing to all who are fortunate enough to cross paths with her in this life!”
